This is a natural consequence of Aarhus’ central location in the country; the motorway network, the rail network and not least the Port of Aarhus are all easily accessible.

At the same time, the Aarhus area and East Jutland are also home to a wide range of companies that need attractive freight solutions.

The Port of Aarhus

The Port of Aarhus is Denmark’s leading commercial port – the largest container port and public bulk port in the country. This means that the Port of Aarhus plays a crucial role not just for Aarhus, but for the country as a whole: a large proportion of the goods exported from and imported into Denmark pass through the Port of Aarhus. There is easy access to the European motorway network from the Port of Aarhus via Marselis Boulevard.

The Port of Aarhus is also a major ferry port. The ferry line Molslinjen served over 1,3 million passenger cars in 2019.
